A sentient computer with a complex. A man made machine with a conscience. HAL is THE most interesting element in that movie. I can watch that movie a hundred times and still walk away with something fresh to chew on. AND the space hardware. oh, my.My favorite part of that movie is when HAL really messes with Dave's head....

To each his own. The slabs have an entirely different thing going on. They seem to be far more....deliberate, duplicative. Although they seem to have gone to the max with pushing the relationship between the height of the roof and the rest of the car body with the c's.
In the alphabet, H comes before I, A before B and L before M.
