OK you truckers...

Those are plastic models, Stan, but I understand your point.
I didn't believe you so....

Tim Ahlborn built those for the box art. I'd recognize that pic anywhere. I have a couple (hundred) models downstairs, Mopars and Big Rigs.

Here's Tim's website:

Tims Trucks TimsTrucks

You can spend plenty of time there, his work is amazing, I'm an 8 year old kid compared to him.

I don't think the white one is real. The tire sheen is all wrong, as well as the wipers, mirror braces, glass clarity and more.
I agree. It didn't hold up to scrutiny under the magnifying glass. BUT, give the guy credit. He is good!

Welcome to the home for my model truck and Peterbilt collection!

I've had a fascination, no, obsession for all things Peterbilt since my family bought me

an AMT Peterbilt California Hauler model kit for Christmas in 1970.

I've had the pleasure of visiting the old Peterbilt headquarters in Newark, California in 1975, the former Madison, Tennessee plant in 1976 and the Denton plant in 2005 and am honored to be part of the Denton open house each year with a large display of my models inside the factory.

Indeed it is ... but somebody has to explain the shadows/proportions with the background with the white one. thats a real sky, trees look real, so does road.

found these pics in a thread. Green truck CLEARLY a model. 1 - its looks like one, and 2 its indoors on a table.

OK, So how dumb am I?

White one? And Red one? darn good models and good photography i guess.

weil the truck haulin the Daytonas is real .. unless you're gonna tell me the world is flat too. :poke:

He built the road, and sets it on the railing on his deck. The tree is off in the yard some distance that gives the perspective. I was trying to find it on his site but I'm familiar with his old one. I haven't touched my models in 5 years.

All right dammit .. these are real. or l'm really in trouble ... where's Rod Serling? :)

We used to call the red one Two Story Falcons.

I am aware of the 2 story Falcons and cracker box GMCs... In all honesty, anything much bigger than a 1 ton and I have to rely on what I've read and heard from others... I look at the big trucks as how much I like the looks, but I couldn't tell much about which mechanical parts are better except from the stuff I pick up from folks who know.

There was guy near me that had three of the Fords like the green one that he used for towing. One was a rollback and the other two had a wheel lift. All had serious custom paint jobs from his own shop and he used one of the trucks for just for shows.

The last I talked to him he was getting serious about retiring and his kid had gotten into insurance adjusting, so I haven't seen his trucks out on the road for a long time.

Those IH COE recycled cab trucks have.
Rear brake shoes are heat treated aluminum castings, aluminum rear axle housings. WTF that's why you don't see any of them anymore.
