Yah, Dave. What's the story?

Let's be clear, he is building a square body Chevy truck. The orange Pete behind is my old truck.
Back in a different lifetime ago I had and collected a pile of these Chevy trucks. Mostly a friend had a knack for finding them for free and some extras came my way. I had started building one with a 4" suspension lift and a welded on 3" body lift. Then things changed a bit and then the orange Pete behind broke so everything got placed on hold, and never went back to it. He is now 15yo and the driver's license is looming and a Plymouth Neon is okay, but not the same as a big, old, 4x4. With his newly developed welding skills he is putting in new panels on the cab (not pictured) then it will be mated back up to frame after the rest of the driveline goes back in. He can't take his driving test till January 2021 so he has some time and has made pretty good progress. I will keep you updated as he goes. Top of that grill is in my armpit it will go down a bit with engine and cab, but tires will basically bring it back up.

Needs everything, engine, trans rebuild, RS 402 rearend, both tanks are too big and have issues, radiator needs recored, I have exhausted my supply of air charge coolers.

I'm going to fix it up someday

Over-the-road drivers may be at risk of being stranded — our source could not verify that Celadon’s drivers would get home — and should fill their tanks at the earliest opportunity as the company’s fuel cards still work. Celadon’s 3,500 employees could lose their jobs soon.

Celadon will be the largest truckload carrier to file bankruptcy in history. The north-south truckload carrier has 2,695 trucks, including 2,000 in the United States, 360 in Canada, and 335 in Mexico. The company is a dominant carrier on the I-35 corridor, running freight from Laredo to the Midwest, with a large concentration in the automotive sector.

Always pay your tolls

On Friday Maine State Police seized a total of six tractor-trailers for racking up approximately $75,000 in unpaid toll debt over the past three years. All six were owned and operated by Commodity Haulers Express of North Kingston, Rhode Island.

The investigation into the unpaid tolls began in November when an official with the Maine State Police was asked to look into a toll evasion case involving Commodity Haulers Express. Officials say the company was notified multiple times of their unpaid bill by the Turnpike Authority. Their right to operate their vehicles in the state of Maine had been suspended.

Police have been conducting surveillance on the trucks, creating a timeline of when they were entering and leaving the state. On Friday morning Troopers located five of the offending trucks and impounded the sixth truck later in the day.

The company hauls Poland Spring Water. Officials say Poland Spring Water was not aware or involved in the unpaid tolls. The trucks will remain at the impound lot until the toll bills have been paid.
