Old stuff you still use.

Unicorn 2500 Impact Driver. I've had it since the late 1970s or early 1980s, but it was used when I got it. It is ideal in some situations where it's too tight for hand tools, but an air impact, or other means might risk rounding out/off, such as the #3 Philips head screws holding the door latch assembly in many cars. I used it for this case today to remove screws, without head damage, that have been in place since new in 1977.

I have one of those, and I still use it!

Hinkley-Meyers "fasTestor", model H-M9444 gauge tester. The is an adjustable resistance box for checking fuel, temperature, and oil pressure gauges based on the King-Seeley Constant Voltage type (such as Chrysler) gauges, or similar. Because of the adjustability rather than certain set values, it can be used for a broad range of gauge settings.

This one is from the mid-1960s (instruction sheet is dated 1963). It was still new in the box when I bought it in the 1980s for $5.00.

Although the fasTestor is useful, I typically use my Miller Special Tool C-3826 in the shop, which is not that old, made in the late 1980s:

If I'm working in the lab, I have a multitude of other resistance sources from which to choose.

Here is an old Indestro small socket set that I have had since childhood. It's odd in that it uses a 1/4" Allen style wrench with spring loaded balls like a ratchet to hold the sockets which have a hex drive side. There are four six point sockets - 5/16", 11/32", 3/8", and 7/16", and two four point sockets - 1/4" and 5/16". The set is missing its "gripper" socket.

Almost just like the first set of sockets I bought to remove the cylinder head on a cast iron Briggs & Stratton horizontal reel mower engine that me and a friend were going to bolt onto a bicycle not to say make a Mini-Bike (that came later) but kind of motorcycle as it was a full size adult bicycle.
Scavenging washing machine pullies & belts from the dump got that idea rolling.

It's amazing what you can find on the 'net these days, I had this set as my second set as moving up to a 'Ratchet'.

I remember just that bottom part as my 1st set bought in the mid-sixties, then later on the ratchet set which were still hanging on the pegboard on the workbench at my parents house in the basement when my dad died.

Here's a set that's looks brand new or has been refurbished to Mint Vintage New.

I couldn't find just the bottom tray alone, but I do know I had that first, all I could find was this version tray like yours.
