I need help w/ restoring my bumper jack. what colors were used in 1969. The original condition the base, J hook and jack ratchet assembly had been repainted black while in a dust storm. Not a good look for my car. So can one of you send me a photo showing the proper colors. Got a BIG thumbs down at the last show I attended. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've seen them gray, blue and black.

Two styles, a "box" and a T shaped beam.

The T shaped beam seems to use black jack and base most of the time and the box uses blue or gray, with blue being most of what I've seen.

Here's a jack for a '69 Fury that I keep around the garage.

This is purely conjecture could the jack color be tied to the plant where each make is assembled or a sublet assembly much like wiper motors, radios power antennas to name a few.

Could be,

can you see any old paint, scrape/sand down to it, look inside?
