Hi Guy's,

I'm new here so if I have put this in the wrong area let me know.

Anyway I have just purchased a 1960 Plymouth Fury sedan. As you can see below

the paint code is PL3.

I have found that P is Plum Red Met & L is Platinum Met but what is the 3 ?

Thanks OzFury

P=Plum Red
L=Platinum
3=Paint Scheme

Hi Alan,

Thanks for the link I did manage to find the paint colours on the net but the 3 had me beat.

I was guessing that is was the paint scheme but wasn't sure. Is there a PL2 what would be the difference ?

So is the Fury suppose to have the front guard & roof the same colour & the body a different colour ?

This is just the beginning of my learning.

Thanks Graham

Looking at the sheet, 2 looks like a simple two-tone roof/body (no front insert color, same as body)
3=Insert same as roof
4=Insert only roof and body same color

Hi Alan,

That's great the guy wasn't sure.

Is there anyway of telling if the P or L is body or roof ?

Thanks again Graham

If you said P is plum and L is platinum I would guess that the L is the main body color.

It is spelled out at the bottom of the sheet.
The picture appears to match the code.

I should have read all the way to the bottom.

Thanks that's great it is correct.

I haven't been able to find a picture of another Fury with the same colour scheme yet.

Thanks again Graham
