Yep, been awhile - again.

Trying to sneak in a little time to work on the '66 Imp to tie up a few more loose ends. Have a new glove box to install but can't do that until I replace the HCV.

And while that sounds straightforward enough and should be, I will add that my current one is, well.....there isn't one - it's missing. It's still back in the 1980s somewhere. So is all the hardware. And any body gaskets or seals.

Currently in the process of sourcing a replacement, have a couple in mind but would appreciate seeing a photo or two of another '66 (or 64-65 as well, probably?) to figure out how the remote coil-sensor-thingy installs and how the little copper tube feeds through the firewall. I figured it was all internal but noticed while looking at replacement valves that there seems to be a little indentation for it to come out into the engine bay and run exposed over to the valve.

Also - there only appears to be 2 mounting holes in the firewall (L, R) for the valve but all the replacements I've seen look like they are set up for 3 (left, right, bottom). Is this an issue or more of a 'one size fits all' approach?

Heater control valve for '65- '66 is Imperial only. www.mymopar.com has the FSM for free download of service instructions and some photos. They also have the parts manuals. You will find an exploded view of the heater assembly in the Accessories section of the parts manual.

Manuals and parts list are in the Tools/Reference section from the my mopar home page.
