Does the plastic cowl grille top edge go over or under the wide aluminum trim piece at the bottom of the windshield? I'm thinking it's supposed to go under due to the wipers.

It was a challenge sliding mine back under the metal piece because the punched screw holes in the metal hang down and catch on the plastic.

Got it. Thanks. Putting the driver’s side arm on was a pain but I got it. Like it so much better with the Anco silver blades vs the new black style ones.

Always liked the look of those silver ones. FYI, years ago Trico made a silver wind wedge blade for the Police cruisers and the rest of us who liked to drive fast. The wedge pushed the blade tight against the glass so even at high speed (100mph) the blades still cleared water of the windshield. Otherwise, air went thru the curved louvered part of the hood and lifted the blades off the windshield.

Good info. Didn’t realize that. I’m sure they’re hard to find now.

The ones in the 1970's were all metal. Trico still makes an "Ulta" series blade that has a smaller plastic wing wedge. Only available in black.

Is that factory black-out on the top of the cowl? Interesting, mine's just the body color with no black paint (DY2 like yours, yay!)
I had very little color overspray on my cowl. Unless someone painted it black before I got the car (which seeing as everything else on it was original paint, I doubt it), this is how mine came. So, that's the way I put it back. I used SEM landau black on the cowl cover, as it was stained from having dirt on it for 30-some years.

My car is FP6. What color is DY2? (edit: ah it's sunfire yellow. cool)

As far as I can tell, the black is original, and they didn't put much time into as you can see from the overspray.
