No, I didn't buy it. I took Trev's advice and I'm keeping my focus on restoring my car. I think someone must have paid the quick buy price of 2500 because it went down before the auction was over. I don't know if I'd have paid the quick buy price because it would have cost me an additional 1500 to get it home, registered, licensed, and insured. 4K without knowing any more about it would have been too rich for me anyway.
