How about a parts store? I got a new one for my '65 from Kragen. All I had to do was attach my reservoir. I haven't had any issues with it for about 5 years.

I got mine from Rockauto.com just a couple of weeks ago...... The reservoir was even included.... Just had to swap the pulley.

Mark, When I installed my 440 in my 68 fury I needed a new power steering pump. The federal one I had wasn't available. I went the much easier route. I purchased a used big block Saginaw pump with brackets, and pulley. I took the used pump as a core for the new one. Its a much better replacement, and getting them is as easy as going to your local auto parts store. Just ask for a power steering pump for a 1969 Plymouth Road-Runner with a 383. http://www.bpeusa.com/BPEPowerSteering.asp you can get the brand new bracket set, and pulley here. My orig. high pressure line was the same. The Saginaw is a much better pump.

These are very scarce pumps. I typed in the zip code for them and they are all out of stock in the Thompson pump. I'am almost positive it is a return and rebuild only. The federal they list isn't correct for the 67-68 brackets. Its only correct for the 65-66 brackets. The Saginaw pump is the way to go. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...0-p?navigationPath=L1*14921|L2*15009|L3*15715

I know a little off topic, but that sir is a fine looking Sport Suburb. I cut my driving teeth on a '68 power blue version of what you own. That was a heck of a wagon which unfortunately was totalled in a hit and run back in '86. Dang I miss that rig.

Change to Saginaw you will be miles and smiles ahead get a warranty from a nationwide chain and you won't be broke down on road long. With trw and federal you will be driving home Joe Armstrong style.

thanks for all the suggestions. i talked to a tech guy at firm feel suspension and i asked if i could just switch to the more popular saginaw pump and he said emphaticlly no as the line fittings are different and would not interchange sounds like he was just trying to sell me a more expensivefix.
