progress has been slow,but...

zero rust is a paint over rust type product. i had some pitting i wanted to seal along with a putting a hard top coat on the whole floor. paint it on with a brush (minimal brush marks). it's like painting thick glue though. it got the best reviews and was one of the lower priced that i found.

phone broke so no pictures. patched the rust in the wiper motor/booster area of the cowl and fixed the rusted out drivers kick panel vent. might replace the heater core while i have the dash out. next i'll install the new shoddy and re-install the booster ,wiper motor,e-brake and about a thousand other items :)

You really did a nice job! If you need any seat belts, I have a full set, green, from a 1970 Fury Convertible.

all set on seat belts, but i could use the fiber board covers for the front floor retractors if you have them

after work today i spent a couple of hours, took the heater box out ,took it apart, cleaned it up and put new seals in it. took out the right side kick panel vent and removed a large mouse nest. also took the rest of the firewall insulation out- cleaned and sprayed with febreeze to get the mouse smell out. also lubed up the kick panel vents and cleaned the ground in the upper right of the firewall ( for blower motor?).

No, I used a garden sprayer to spray 2L of Isopropyl alcohol in the whole interior... Now it's smelling like a mix of Isopropyl alcohol and rodent feces...

i took all of the insulation out from under the dash. the shoddy was junk, but the pads with the fiber backing were okay. i brushed off the dust and mouse debris then soaked the insulation with febreeze and let them dry overnight. kind of disappointed though ,they were supposed to smell like citrus but they don't have any smell at all now :)

I hope we have the same febreeze stuff over here! Not some of this weak, environmentally friendly european stuff... ;) But I will try it.

Sounds strange, baking soda? But I will try that as well. If it eliminates the smell, I'll try it!
