I need to bring up one glaring point.
It's a dragster with a skin on it.
Why is NHRA has classes for these things is beyond me.

I'm a steel body door slammer guy myself. Bob loves the pro mods cuz they're so damn fast.

Then go straight to the rail dragsters. This fake body crap is done for one reason only and that is it brings in sponsorship because there is more display area for logos and decals.

I think the nhra is trying to do with promod is get some excitement back lets face it watching 2 bumps run down the track is getting boring sure the one with no crease is a dodge, one with one crease is a ford, and two creases is a toyoturd at least the pro mods look sort of like a car you can relate and they are very unpredictable, kind of like watching those old funny cars of the sixties in Nick's video.

Can't argue.

Most of the ProMod guy's run on their own dime. Most are successful business owners and the only advertising you see is them promoting their own livelihood (excluding the dozen or so that race NHRA National events that are major sponsor whores).

The "Crew" consists of family and friends...

They are far from being dragsters........ anyone can make a "Nitro Car" run. Try tuning a 869 cu in motor with 5 stages of nitrous on 124 octane race fuel. Not easy! Or a 550 cu in motor with dual 92 mm turbo's.

I agree Bob the nitro cars are kind of boring and they all use what is basically a Chrysler hemi no matter what the Sponser or body says. At least in pro mod just about any brand can win.

I love it all (especially NASCAR) but I'm still a steel body door slammer guy & if it's street legal/driven I like it even more.

Nitrous or turbo or blower.......pretty even across the board. The turbo's will have an edge this year.
