When you don't think through all of your "mod" ideas and take encouragement from meaningless "build it your way" posts, you'll be lucky if anyone coughs up a grand for the carcass.

That is all.

At least there's not a big *** hood scoop or a superbird wing on it. Too bad about the plum crazy paint. I see Belvederes, Furys, D100s etc..etc..painted purple, they all look ridiculous. Mods that can easily be reversed are ok in my book (wheels, intake/carbs, engine dress up etc)

Didn’t see any interior pics.
What are the odds of a “custom” Grant steering wheel in there and speaker holes all over?

This poor seller never got to finish his car. Just think of how great it would have looked with titty pink flames, a titty pink Exner toilet seat and a pink tuck and roll job.

It's hard to tell from those pics and I'm not going to look for it on FB, but all I can see is a color that wasn't available on it and some wheels that could be swapped in 15 minutes or less.

That said, I would be very unlikely to pay $4K for a car that had no engine in it even if it was painted the original color, had the original wheels and had whatever else it was supposed to have. This hobby makes me shake my head sometimes. I mean, if Plum Crazy was the factory paint color on that car, everybody would be praising it as a beautiful and rare car. There would probably be people saying it was a good deal at twice that much.

When my car was completely stock it actually got quite a bit of interest.....from the derby guys! As a matter of fact, they were the only people who showed any interest in it at all. Now, with just a few very mild custom touches, I get people complimenting it and asking me questions about the car itself and not whether they can buy it as a derby car. I have no intention of yanking my engine and trying to sell the body, but if I did, I wouldn't expect to get offered more than $1K or so either, regardless of whether it was bone stock with original paint color or not.

I would buy it but doesn't have a big wing on it. Looks stupid without one.:thankyou:

I happened to notice that even with a new paint job, the whole car should be repainted again anyway....nothing was taken apart. Even the brake master, brake lines and horns are purple... Why spend the money on the paint to do a total color change and not go to the trouble of taking it apart to do it right?

in a hurry to flip it?

It was painted as a roller (note paint on transmission), probably the cheapest Miracle job available with zero prep work.

Dave

I would never sell it fora derby. The car is in pretty good shape...just a poorly done paint job. I'm sure some rust in the trunk was painted over too. I would think 4k wasn't too bad if it came with the motor...but probably closer to 3k.
