R.I.P. Bill (Fury440)

This is very sad news. I never met Bill and didn't know him personally, but I had followed his Fury build and we had responded to each others posts on the C-Body forums several times. My sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Bill.

We can archive it though the Wayback machine site...Wayback Machine I started saving my content to this site when photobucket started taking our pics hostage.;)

But back to the passing of a good man. I never got to met Bill in person and had hoped to meet with him in the next couple years, but as Ross mentioned I have known Bill from various C-body boards for at least 15 years or more. Sold him a bunch of parts for his fury from a 69 300 I parted out years ago, a great guy to talk to and very knowledgeable, he will be missed.

Does anyone know his wife? I would need someone close to him to find hosting info and give me permission to take the site.

Unfortunately not. Leaburn probably knows her better than I do. I only met her once, years ago. When @Dobalovr gets back from his vacation, options can be discussed. Obviously we will wait until she gets some semblance of order in her life again before anything like this is thrown at her.

lve met Sue a few times at the house but as Petes said all things in good time...mayby get together as a group and visit when the times right..

It was Gary that called me. He said he's going to sign up on FCBO. We should be hearing from him in the near future.
 
RIP sir, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. His knowledge will be missed here.

man, hate to see this. Never met him but known him virtually from the early dock days. RIP and to the family if they come on here to read, I'm very sorry for your loss.
 
RIP Bill, I'm very sorry to hear he is gone.

At least he passed away suddenly and peacefully (I believe), that's the best way to go...
 
...well this isn't a post lm happy with atall but life go's on...when we go we take nothing with us...with losing both my father and mother in last year and now a good friend has left me not likening this end of life stuff atall but here it is the tears have stopped albeit the ache is still there
...life go's on without us and details need to be dealt with whether we like it or not..case in point..

...l have been asked by the family and Paul for help on putting a price on his Fury...we know what restoration cost but family is looking to find out what the car would sell for...personaly was hopeing it would go to someone in the family but this isn't the case...
..car will be sold and will move onto a new home and caretaker...lots of the older members were here when this restoration to this rare Fury was done and know the extent to which this Fury was put through

its a very rare car... its one of 8 known with factory 440 ..ordered by Bill in 1969

In any case me and Paul figured it would be best to post on the forum to get a honest opinion as to what to price this survivor can be priced at so it can be sold and moved on to a new caretaker...life gos on....
If theres any interest in this rare Fury feel free to contact me and will put you in touch with parties involved...family and Paul want this Fury to go to someone deserving of it so if you think you can pick it up on the cheap and flip it you best just move on as Paul will keep Fury in that case...lets try and keep this thread civil outa respect for Bill and his family....
Know its not the best time to sell a car but all this **** around us will end at some point and Life WILL go on with or without us..thoughts on pricing most welcome
