R.I.P. Bill (Fury440)

Derek, I strongly suggest you reach out to Peter Klute at Legendary Motor Car, Dan Spendick at Collector Car Productions and RM Sotheby's - all of the above are world leaders in selling vehicles of stature such as Bill's (and yours for that matter).

FWIW, my turquoise Monaco (which if people were asked an opinion of here would be priced at $5K) sold for nearly $20K at Dan Spendick's auction.

This is was news, indeed. Best wishes to his family.
Unfortunately our hobby seems to be taken up by us older folks and this will happen more as we age.

Godspeed.

It’s a great car, it deserves a good home. I was able to see it a Bill's home a couple of years ago. It won’t disappoint the new owner.

Once I asked Bill if he wants to sell the Fury to me... I was semi serious back then, I think.

Bill just laughed and said: Yes, I can sell it, but you wouldn't be too happy for the price! :p

I hope this magnificent car ends up to a good home.

...personaly was hopeing it would go to someone in the family but this isn't the case...
:(

Thank you for taking this on and bringing it here Derek. I too would love to see the car go on with someone who had a connection with Bill. :thankyou:

i only knew Bill through this site, but i think of him often. so hard to believe it was only March. was a better world when Bill was still part of it. i hope he's looking down us from a better place.

With the world we have now, no doubt it's a better place.

sad to hear , its a guess on when we check out , so enjoy your life and just smile that those who is piss off at you , that only makes them more pissed off , lol . and then smile even more , lol .

I haven't been on the site in a while (life and other projects got in the way) and I saw in another post that Bill had passed last year. Like many, I didn't know Bill personally, but he was invaluable in helping restore my 70 Sport Fury. His posts and information were always helpful. As everyone has already said, he will be and is missed.

I hope his family decides to keep his Fury.

I liked his information on his Fury restoration, a fun and informative read, to be certain. RIP, Bill.

I have a couple of pics of Bill's Fury in rotation as desktop background images. I wish I had higher-res copies of them though.
