Ram North Edition

How times have changed.
I remember come winter, our Dodge dealer would have 20-30 W-150's lined up like soldiers at the front of the lot facing the highway, all with their shiny yellow plows ready to go as-is.
Now, it's all $80,000 luxury trucks that do nothing but take one person 1 mile to the supermarket.

The Canadian Version just released.....

Is this a regional, dealer thing? I've never seen one of these, nor seen one advertised.

Available option on Heavy Duty models...Snow Plow Prep Group

Snow chiefs were W150’s back in the day I believe

The "Snow Chief" was a regular option, there is an '08 sitting in my driveway, I have seen only 2 other ones in person. The earlier W-trucks were "Sno-Fiter" or "Sno-Commander". In '08 when I bought mine the Snow Chief package was only available on a 4-wheel drive, 2500, gas truck. The snow plow prep package was a different option, but the Snow Chief package came with everything that the snow plow prep pkg. came with plus some other stuff.

since when did snow tires become an option package?

had one just like this
1974-dodge-power-wagon-w200-sno-fiter-rare-4x4-worig-meyers-plow-1-jpg.jpg

same color, same meyer plow. floor rusted so badly that the doors would pop open going around corners. never failed me and would push snow till it curled up over the hood. i miss it.

There was a time when EVERY car owner had a set of snow tires ready in the garage or trunk.
In the fall working at the gas station, it seemed like 75% of my work was a standard three:
GOF (Grease, oil, filter),
Mount snows, and then...
A Stickah (Inspection sticker)
