This is the original 1969 NY'er pattern.

I just said that....:poke:

....:laughing4:

You'll notice the Data Book page doesn't show a green, though. Hmm.........

I must of been searching while you posted.

The 3rd image from the left is green. The colors on this brochure aren't exactly correct.

i think if i had 12500.00 to spend on a car id buy a 300 hurst or have 2 of my cars repainted of buy 9or12 parts car/drivers

This NY'er is not a bad choice if you're looking for a turn key car that needs absolutely nothing. I would give between $8k to $9.5k for it....$12.5k is out of the question for me.

I have to admit I'd keep the blackwalls on, never liked whitewalls in the first place except for the wide whites maybe on some cars of the right era.

but there were no black walls on an expensive New Yorker in 1969

Still don't like them. Even more so on a Hurst :)

they are badly wrong on a Hurst. You need a set of H70 15 Goodyear Polyglas GT RWL

I agree, and I remain unconvinced that the interior is the correct one.

I can confirm that it is, as my '69 New Yorker looks to have basically the same options, but with 2 more doors, F8 green, no vinyl top with the same green cloth interior.

My skepticism comes from the brochure pic, which shows a patterned cloth all the way across the cushion. This one has a vinyl center section (under the armrest) and the cloth does not seem to be patterned. Is the cloth on yours patterned? Do you have vinyl in the center? It would not be the first time a brochure picture was incorrect.

Brochures can lie.
I go by the official Data Book.
The interior, in my opinion, is correct.

I seen one at the Lowe's Cruise 2 weeks ago. It had the exact same seats but it was a different color.

Well, I'm still confused. Here is a pic I found on a site called www.autabuy.com although the ad that goes with it seems to be missing. Take a look:

This is what I expected to see from the brochure, and there it is. Now, this is a 4-door car, so perhaps they did something different with 2-doors. But I would expect the fabric pattern to be the same, and this blue fabric matches what is in the brochure. The green on the pictured car looks very plain and somewhat aftermarket to me. I dunno, maybe I'm being anal, but those green seats just don't look right to me given this.

I'm starting to see what Greg's seeing. He's right. The pattern is correct. The material for the cloth section is not correct.

The cloth is supposed to have a brocade-like sheen.

69 NY trim

A scan of the 69 NY trim section of the Chrysler & Imperial data book.

It would be interesting to know the trim code on the fender tag from this car.

The trim in this car dosen't match anything in the trim section of the data book, NY, 300, Newport Custom or Newport.
Perhaps a very early build 69 with 68 trim....?
