Remember Captain Crook?
I got this playground slide topper at a estate sale cleanup for free.

Captain Crook was always trying to steal fish sandwiches.

My pre-school mind swore i could see pilot touching "God's face." :)

on the rare occasions i could stay awake long enough (2 am i think) to see one local station go off air.

Another station had "Star Spangled Banner" with lotsa flags/military folks. something like this.

Lawrence Welk showing his vanity license plate...
( "A-one an' A-two!" ) on his 1974 DODGE Monaco Brougham

Welk was always grateful to DODGE for being the primary sponsor of his program when it began in the 1950s... He drove Dodge vehicles the rest of his life...Some of which were gifts from them.

One of the very few times that I saw a Mopar on The Price is Right was when one of the showcases had a Lawrence Welk theme. The car was a Dodge Aspen (’76 or ’77, I think).
