Replacing the carpet. I knew the car was in amazing condition for 50 years old, but I was not expecting the floors to be this rust free! Everything came apart very easily, no problems at all with seat and accelerator bolts.

Looks great! I had shell casings in my trunk. I guess bullits were almost as common as pennies back then.
 
I was just wondering why it seems standard equipment under carpets are wheat pennies and .22 casings found several myself
 
Mine are big rifle casings and I just left them back there.

Maybe some old guy that worked the line carried a pocket full around and dropped a few in every car. I'd have done something like that. :busted: We were tearing a Pontiac apart once and found a guy's initials and the date written on the side of the cowl. I always wondered how many cars he signed.
 
Looks fantastic. We have to do something about that steering wheel cover, though.
I know it matches the outside but....
