Restoration Underway 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT Canadian Promotional Car - MCG Article

Trev has promised that my GT will be ready for Carlisle in July 2026. The GT is being restored to a semi-concourse level in that paint daubs etc are being reproduced. This GT had more rust issues than expected, thus more time.

My move to Florida isn’t affecting the restoration.

I will upload some “teaser” photos. View attachment 745335View attachment 745336View attachment 745337View attachment 745338View attachment 745339View attachment 745340View attachment 745341View attachment 745342View attachment 745343View attachment 745344
That's awesome Bill! can't wait to see it!

I would assume that the rust problems took parts cars for the new metal Bill, do you know how many it took if it did?

One parts car for the stub frame, part of the rocker panel, core support and some non-sheet metal parts.

NOS quarter panels, fenders, one rocker panel, rear outer wheel housings, valance panels and other parts are/have been used to restore the GT along with NOS bumpers, moldings, grille, tail lamps and more.

I have been collecting NOS parts for a 71 GT since 1995.
