Would like to buy a afmarked era correct set of rims on my 1969 300 would like to go a bit wider on the back maybe like a 305 or 325 tire, anyone knows the best place to look for rims with the right hole pattern and off set and anyone has a idea what size it would take? I looked around seem to me that a 16 inch rim with little smaller sidewall on the tire would fill fender wells out alittle better.
Not going for some young guy lowrider set up here with a set of 22s just want to sine her up alittle with a nice era correct rim and white letter tire, it would look good against the dark red body color.
Thank you for all input.

The 16" wheels did not become "popular" until the later 1990s or so, after the OEMs went to them. FWIW

Somebody was building some aftermarket "similar to" Hurst 15" wheels a year or so ago. With gold or silver inset areas.

Since that time, American Racing came out with their Magnum 500-esc VN501 wheels. A plethora of sizes as to diameter, width, and backspacing. 15x7 5x4.5" bolt circle 4.00" backspacing would be the OEM-like size wheel for the car.

As to tire sizes, the largest OEM tire size would equate to P235/75R-15. As do "revs/mile", aim for about 730 for the more-common P225/75R-15 tires.

Might look better to you with wider tires on the back, but they are not really needed, with even about 600 horsepower in front of them and appropriate rear spring enhancements and such. Your choice. Check out the threads mentioned above.

Enjoy!
