RIP John Prine

****. I really liked him, R.I.P..:(

My favorite John Prine song. Covered by a lot of people, including Johnny Cash and The Everly Brothers (who were from Muhlenberg Country) My favorite version, and the one I first heard, is Jim and Jessie's Bluegrass cover.

It's nice when there's a article connected to it! RIP John

Lot of people talking about this guy on Facebook this morning. Got to confess: I've never heard of him.

RIP, I can remember many a day in my misspent youth driving across the desert at 100mph+ listening to his music.

Dave

An amazing talent has sadly left us. The article references one of my favourite songs a collaboration with Iris Dement.

Edit: Oops just noticed you already posted it Stubbs.

He was a great story teller in his songs. True Americana. He came along in the early '70s with the influx of singer / songwriter performers. He was well respected by his peers and his influence was far reaching. RIP Mr. Prine
