Rusty II

I'm not a big sleeper, need to occupy my time. My full-time job is Monday to thursday, 8am to 5:30pm, Friday 8-5
My parttime is Saturday 7-7, occasionally Sundays.
My cash job is Thursday night's 9-11

Pays the bills.

Don't know what I'd do with all that time.
I got tired just reading that....

Yeah, most of us probably lived like that in our early years. All that will change with age so do all you can now young buck.
I'd like to buy a house in the next few years.......I also want to finish both cars.

I got tired just reading that....
And on that note

I go through blades like no tomorrow. Even the genuine B&D Bi-metal ones. What brand were they, Nick?

It did. Thier half decent blades that I borrowed when I worked for the last shop I was at for 5 years without a raise or even a thank you..

Not to sound like a dick but they paid you to do a job, no " thank you" required.

No raise, no one is holding you there....move on. ....tough Love Nick tough Love

Dave, I do agree with you 90%

A "thank you" always helps...

In my experience those same employers who won't create an environment employees want to stay in are the first to cry "traitor" when one leaves.

The last employer I spent months telling I was not going to stay, when it came to the end he fired me and told me to remove my tools at once. When I returned with the trailer I had already reserved he had pushed the darn thing into the parking lot and it was sinking into his black top.

Too many just have to have drama.

King cut.....no idea who makes them or sells them.

Dave, I stayed for one reason and only one reason..........to finish my apprenticeship.....I got my license on my first try at writhing the exam......I got my actual certificate in June in the mail.....July I began looking for another job.....August 1st I began my new job.....I make two times as much....work better hours...have a supplied uniform....group benefits....and AC Delco paid training enrollment......

I put my resume out and had a job interview the next morning.....20 minutes after the interview Rob called me to tell me I had the job if I wanted it....

I was stupid and loyal....I'm now only loyal to my girl, my friends and to the almighty dollar....

I've said it before and I'll say it again....every step I take is an experience I learn from....the biggest step I made was buying my convertible....it excellerated the learning process.

Unfortunately, there is very little paper trail to separate the herd in most of the USA. I like that you did what you needed to, for your benefit. In Florida, any idiot with a lean-to and a tool box can get a tax ID number and call themselves a technician. Outside of manufacturer training, ASE testing and certificates are the only other thing they can do for themselves to make a paper trail

Dade County has an occupational license... which amounts to simply another A$$hole Tax... everyone who works within their borders is required to pay annually, with no testing or other regulations.

Nick, how are you liking the Delco training? I have not done any of it myself... but hear lots of belly-aching from those that have over small (and maybe not so small) technical errors, mostly in the test questions.

I haven't had any yet. It's about every few months and as of next week I've been 3 months here. That being said, my big Bird (my new partner in crime) tells me that it can be a pain in the ***.
