1968 Monaco 500...just noticed my car has no passenger side view mirror. Can't believe they weren't factory for '68. This is gonna be interesting trying to maneuver this boat. I suppose there's mirrors out there to buy....
In '67, the mirror was located outside the vent window.I bought one for my Newport from Vans, and I'm glad I did. It doesn't provide a wider view like today's passenger side mirrors do, but it helps when I'm backing up or am out on multilane highways. I'd recommend it.

Yup, my Barracuda (67) is in a more natural position, the Polara (69 I feel like I have to turn my head to see it, we're talking drivers side. I think they moved it because some people (tall) had the vent post right in the middle of the mirror. In '67, the mirror was located outside the vent window.
In '68, the mirror was moved back so that it was viewed through the passenger roll up window.
I agree. I tried to keep a side mirror on my Polara, but the holes are wonky. All my other cars have one.Maybe it doesn,t help much , but it looks much better with.
I don't think anybody is questioning the usefulness or saying the lefts are useless, now rights? that is very subjective (again we are talking about the pre 80s mirrors)
