So this is what a 54 year old leather driver’s seat with less than 41k Michigan miles on it looks like.
Me and this car are very lucky that its interior is in such beautiful condition. The design of the upholstery in the ‘67s is one of the several reasons I prefer them over the ‘68s. If only it didn’t have head rests…

I'd ALMOST trade my 100% rust free rockers, trunk floor, firewall, inner and outer fenders, stub frame, exhaust, drip rails, bumpers for that. Almost...hahaha!

I really dig the '67 seats, especially the walnut veneer on the back. The '68 seat backs are a little too plain for such a classy car.

It’s not on the list of priorities at all. What I will do is touch up all the spots with some black shoe polish.
I am surprised to find the entire cover is leather, on my silver seats the bolsters are all vinyl.

I did make a little more progress in the engine room last week.
The power steering pump is rebuilt.

Wow - I am surprised I didn’t see this thread before. Matt, amazing work. This is extremely motivating. Great to see your woodworking skills translate to metal fab too. Now I am wondering what I will come across when I remove the stub frame. I know I need to patch or replace the front seat brace too. Thanks for sharing - I look forward to seeing your updates.

Too long since I worked on this one! Today I put a new master cylinder on it and put gaskets on the valve covers, they are finally screwed down. I would have been a lot further along on this one if it wasn’t for the convertible Parts car I’ve been dealing with. Not complaining though!

FYI, as much as I like the natural metal look of our disc brake masters, they're supposed to be semi-gloss black. Accordind to Dewey the master, lid, bale and booster were painted as an assembled unit.

I knew I wanted to take care of the driver’s side uca bushings before I put the inner fenders back on. I got a set from Murray this afternoon and had them changed out before I left the shop at 6. The forward bushing on the driver’s side was shot but the rest looked pretty good but of course with the control arm off I replaced both. Probably do the passenger side in the morning.
Here’s the new ones back in and below that shows the worst of the old ones.

No upgrades from stock accept this one was originally am, just want good working original stuff for this one.
