So I bought this one today.

I've gotten this far

Put the clean California fuel line and drive shaft on and now flushing the hard brake line that heads to the back before next bolting up the stub. It’s definitely easier to do these last few things before the stub is installed.

Another good day, back on 4 wheels!:)

Now it’s back to picking away at smaller projects on it.

Lost a few posts due to the recent server crash so here goes again.
Next and last rust repair for the front half is the driver’s side inner wheelhouse.

It just so happens that the parts car’s only rust up front was on a slightly different spot on the same piece so my donor metal was going to need to be patched.

Thin donor metal is better than no donor metal though!:icon_fU:

I hope to get this, the other and the rad core support to the paint shop this week.

The passenger side will need a small patch and the core support is not at all rusty. Bummer that all loose the factory markings but at least they’re documented here.

Interesting how the 67 Rad support had no "black out" paint. My 68 does.

Maybe the 67 grille treatment was such that they felt it didn't need it?

^^^I noticed that, as well. The markings would be easy to duplicate after paint, just find a wide marker and practice a bit before you send the parts off to paint.

I think only the light paint colors got the black out treatment. The Frost green parts car and my silver car have the black out.

After a closer look it just didn’t make sense to fix the passenger side inner when the one from the parts car is rock solid.
I dropped off the 3 pieces, the 2 braces that go from the fender to the firewall and some body bolts at the paint shop just now.
Also sent a couple of brake boosters out to booster Dewey a couple of weeks ago.:)
