Rummaging through my parts stash to find the best of each piece, cleaning blasting painting or polishing every piece, calling Murray every time I don’t think the nicest piece I have is good enough and don’t even get me started on fasteners…

I’ve been going through this now as well. Shows like “Garage Squad“ drive me crazy when they reinstall rusty parts because they are “good enough”. I’d be polishing every bolt. I’m also finding that parts I bought 10 years ago either don’t fit, don’t work or are just plain wrong! At least you seem to have a direct line to a supplier like Murray.

After a few hours of polishing the southwestern bumper I got from Murray I am quite pleased. It’s not perfect but it’s darn nice. I also got the header panel on after finishing up installing the rest of the brackets behind the grille. I did ask my painter to paint the header panel black but it ended up getting painted body color and I love it!

I have a lot to think about in that regard. I can’t justify keeping 5 cars in the long term at this time, it’s just too much work!

I’m confident that you will get the autotemp working. I also believe that someone will develop a replacement autotemp control system that is more reliable. Something using a PIC microcontroller.

Yeah, you're right Matt. That thing is a complete turd with ATC. You shouldn't even give it the garage space. I'll send a truck up there to take it off your hands!
