How's the trunk lid? I had to replace the original one on my 68...it was ROTTEN. I've seen a lot of 67s/ 68s with rusty trunk lids. Seems to be a weak spot on these cars.

It’s roached but Ken @SGT FURY included a rust free one with the parts car. its Painted and ready to install.

So beautiful!!! BIG inspiration for me to get the Yorker out there on the road. Got a quote from someone down south from me in the LA area who can do a paint restoration / re-clear the car to bring out what's left of the PP1 red, revive the chrome the best they can and also paint / flake my roof. It's going to be a little pricey but way cheaper than a full paint job so it'll be worth it to me in the end.

Though, I may put the 68 on the back burner as I don't see it being "done" in time for my wedding. Plan B to bring the 62 home and get that one driving nice so we have at least ONE cool car to parade around in!

Seeing this Imperial together has been so cool. I am definitely in love with it!

Just by getting rid of that portion of rotten outer sheet metal makes it easy to make a plan.

Looks like I’m going to replace the whole outer wheelhouse on this side which means I’m going to have to cut this quarter at the upper body line so I can get at it.

Got a really good start on cutting all the metal I won’t need off of the donor section and assessing the minor repairs it will need before I graft it onto the car.

And then got back to cutting the rusty stuff off of the patient.
