That's the only way to fix chrome.

Agreed. It's the appropriate finish for a carpenter, though I would have thought you could have applied the veneer yourself rather than outsourcing it.
But, what do I know.

Actually I don’t know. These came up on FB out of California and I happened to see the post when it was a few minutes old so I jumped on it.
This car deserves better than the best used chrome parts that I have in stock here so I figured I would be getting at least the main bumper bar re-chromed to go along with the set of NOS bumperettes I have.
I saved a good chunk of change in spite of the shipping and I still have my NOS pieces which will eventually end up on the silver car.
