Some Cordoba reading if you're interested.

My neighbor used to have one of those Cordoba's. I always thought it was a Chrysler 300 until recently, when I learned that Mopar never made a 300 J-body. IMO it should have been called a 300 and offered with the same 360 four barrel V8 that was available in the Li'l Red Express, maybe even with a 4-speed option. Oh well, they were nice cars anyway.

Not too far away from you, Stan. Always liked these.

Back in 1979 I had graduated from college and got my first job at a little local wholesale/retail outfit that sold dental supplies and equipment. It was owned by an odd couple in their 50s: a big, loud, energetic and somewhat nasty Czech guy and his soft-spoken, kind & gentle wife. Total opposites. She did the books and may have been the source of the family money. She came into the office intermittently by the time I got there because she had endured a couple of heart attacks by then and wasn't doing well. She was still a heavy smoker which didn't help matters.

In 1980 she decided she needed a new car. She was driving an older Benz sedan. One day she arrived in a new green Cordoba. I asked her why she chose it. She said that she wanted to see Chrysler survive, so she wanted to show her support. We ended up buying a new Dodge van for the repair side of the business too because of her. Gotta love it.

I had a 78 in dove grey inside and out 360 with a power sunroof looked just like this one...right down to the forged aluminum wheels...not 1st gen, but I still miss it.

Mr. C said his Dove Grey car wasn't 1st. gen but that's what I'm referring to as 1st gen. Did I miss a generation somewhere?
Yes, when the Mirada came out. The lines, in my opinion, are too hard and too straight. Looks like the designers were forced to draft on an Etch-A-Sketch when financial hard times hit Chrysler and took their CAD machines away.

There was a "facelift" but not a rebody like the 80 crossover.
