Two of mine did not have vinyl. I liked my 82 with a t-bar because it didnt have vinyl, not many of those and it wasnt a CMX

Well, technically First Gen was 75-77 (round headlights etc) Second Gen was the 78-79 redesign (New front and rear styling Hood decklid bumpers etc not interchangeable with 75-77...the 79 is really an R body according to Chrysler and tey are unique...a lot of 78 Doba parts won't fir the 79)Then the Third Gen was the 80-83 J bodies.
