Alright, point of pride here. These exhibits and Exner's office were designed by my Dad. He also painted a watercolor still life for Lynn Townsend while working in the Design Department.
Mrs Townsend graciously returned it to my Dad ten years ago or so.

Based on the year of the plate on that Fury, it well could have been. Turned 18 that year. Actually no, I don't see any Labatt's Blue or IPA in that pile.
I suspect it was late 70's since as I recall when I arrived in 1974 I was amazed that I couldn't buy beer in 24's like I was used to in Ontario.
His load of what looks like 7 doz bottles required so serious muscle to cart out the car like that!
Now I buy 36's in cans and it's all I can do to haul two out to the Jeep.

That's a '71 Ontario plate on the taxi. I remember not being able to get the two-four when I got out here. A stack of old stubbies in '75 I believe, being guarded by my brother-in-law. Can't do that with the longnecks...

Drank a lot of '50 stubbies in Ont, switched to Lethbridge Pill stubbies when I moved to AB.
When I worked for Bell Canada in Toronto I had to run back and forth to Montreal and if possible I always visited the Molson factory store to by a case of Brador. This was an overproof 6% beer, but if you bought it on a Friday afternoon it was over overproofed to as high as 12%. This "special" run was primarily for the workers who picked it up for the weekends. It was quite a sight at Dorval airport when boarding the 5:30 flight to Toronto, all the businessmen in their three piece suits, briefcase in one hand and a case of Brador in the other. Back then you put a 12 pack under your seat or in the overhead bin, nowadays you can't even carry a bottle of water. I miss Brador, the smoothest beer I've ever drank.
