Recently read a startling stat from the National Institute of Health. The average woman today weighs more than the average man did in 1959.Two things I noticed looking through this thread; Cars were way cooler back then and people were a whole lot thinner back then. Before the days of fast food for our regular diet.
Then the internet amplified it. Online shopping instead of getting off the couch walking a store. With grubhub, now you don’t even have to get off the couch to load up on burgers and fries.Recently read a startling stat from the National Institute of Health. Anyone who uses grubhub, uber eats, etc, has more money than sense. A sandwich, drink and fries runs about $30.00 with that nonsense, and people eat it up...pun intended.
Not all foods are conducive to carry-out IMO. The usuals like Chinese, pizza, subs etc. are fine. But these nicer or homestyle restaurant carry-outs just end up like crap by the time I get them home. Heck even McD’s fries are cold and soggy before you get out of the parking lot! I try to support our restaurants that are still strangled with 25% seating limit, but the atmosphere in the empty place sucks. And there is no sign of our gov taking her boot of the restaurants neck any time soon!I really dislike fast food joints but will go out and use the drive through just for something to do these days.
