I have to comment on this, when I was still riding my 10 spd bike around town, no drivers license yet. The house at the end of my street had a green Daytona sitting in the driveway for months then it went to the side yard with a for sale sign, $6000. This was about 1974 75. I stopped and looked it over almost daily while trying my best at the dinner table to talk my dad into buying it, "its a rare factory race car Dad and its going to be worth twice that much in a few years...we could just put it in the garage and you can double your money, it'll go up in value.." .I knew what I was talking about. His favorite reply was "you'll wrap it around a pole and kill yourself" "I promise I won't even drive it" to which he would give me a look and scoff "ya right".. lol
