Here's my 2 cents on the add.
1969 Chrysler Newport 2 door. Barn find, might have been sitting in a barn from the mold on the door panels and back seat but more likely indicative of water damage. One owner. Purchased from original owner. If it was purchased from the original owner, that makes it a two owner before this sale. Whoever buys it next will be the third owner. Custom option a/c car. It’s an Alabama car, how many didn’t have A/C? 70k original miles, Big block 383 2bbl, 727 3 speed automatic, center console shift, 2:73 rear. White vinyl interior all there. All chrome intact minus one piece. Solid car. Great floors. Great trunk. All body panels solid. Still suspect water damage probably from around the windshield or rear window, those are the typical places. Straight body. Original paint has been professionally reconditioned and brightened and polished. Carter carb rebuilt. New radiator, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, fluids flushed, new plugs, wires, points, coil, ballast, and rotor. Beautiful survivor car, carefully preserved. Obviously not because of the mismatched fenders. Was it in an accident? Comes with original owners manual. And the last license plate registered to the vehicle in 1982. Runs and drives great. New tires thrown on, polyester white walls that came with the car will also go with sale. When did they come with the car? 70k miles on bias ply tires, they’ve got to be a little thin. As well as original bumper jack in working order. All glass perfect. Dashboard excellent no cracks.
I hate to say it because if it really is a 383 bucket console car, I’d like to see it saved but based on the misinformation in the ad, I’d walk away from this because there’s probably much more that he’s lying about. C-Bodies are hard enough to find parts for when you know what you need. If it’s unmolested as he implies, then the torsion bars probably need replaced based on how low the front is sitting.
