"Flagged for removal" (?)

Anyways, I look forward to reading the write up on the Mecum site touting the $200k estimated high bid...

That car has a decent amount of options..
Sport wheel, P/S,, P/B,, bumper guards,
light pkg,, tint windows...
And looks like it may have disc brakes..

This is why we must always add the details and pics from ads.

Somethings very fishy.

I believe the car exists, and is/was in the area, but something is not adding up. This may have been a prank.

You may be right but with as many people that saw that ad today between Facebook and no less than 3 major forums he might have been swamped with replies, criticism etc and pulled the ad.

It was flagged by someone other than the seller which doesn't surprise me either.
When I looked at it this morning someone had already put up this.
Dumbass '68 GTX post
Hagerty valuation for Concourse..MINT condition is 110k
1968 plymouth gtx Values | Hagerty Valuation Tool®

Going to send it to the Middle East? Go ahead and hop in the trunk and send yourself with it as an added bonus to the new owner ( which won't happen because no one will pay 100k for that period) I'd say you're dreaming...But I'd be lying... You're just plain delusional. How about this .. fix it up to Concourse and then sell it for 100k plus. Google Concourse if you don't know what that means...I think you need to google it actually..Because you obviously haven't a clue.

Your Haggerty evaluation you posted was for a hardtop GTX.

The convertible comes back at $197k plus 10% for a 4-speed.

I think that is a bit light.

FYI there were only 30 1968-70 Hemi b-body Convertibles made with a 4speed tranny. Of those only 4 are known to (including this one) retain their original drivetrains.

Pretty exclusive club.

I think that is a fair price for the car.

Dave

People are f-((in goofy it no wonder we are doomed.

Richard Rawlings probably bought it for $50,000 and will flip it for $100,000
Then it will get restored and tour the car show circuit for 2 years and show up at B.J. and sell for the 250k because of who touched it and awards it's won.

I totally agree Dave. I think for some this is a very good car to have. Hemi convertibles with manual transmissions are desirable for a lot of collectors.

If I had the resources, I would have at least made an offer.

So???

That's all I have. It is stupid money for the car and why because it is one of a handful? So what it is still just a car. My car is one of 300 and change with a gator grain top, take out the small blocks, the number of brown cars and column shifted, never fully restored and it runs. So it becomes worth big money if you crunch numbers? No, missing the S in the VIN and some badges, but if the right people say it wow magic. It is still a car with a lot of pedestrian roots. Not saying it will not get big $$$ it is just not my thing to pay extra money for a car that looks like a 318 Satellite. Don't try and explain it I don't care it is still a mass produced car nothing more.

Fair enough!

Supply and demand plays a factor here, not just bragging rights. They do however come with the title

It's actually a good thing that the car is rare and expensive, at least it stands a fairly good chance of being properly restored and saved from what awaits most C bodies in poor condition.
