Special order? 74 fury

I read the owner is in South America, that alone should explain the special order tag. It must have something to do with being an export car

The tag indicates it was built for sale in the US (U) and not an export (I). It could have been ordered domestically, fitted for duty then shipped out.

I read the owner is in South America, that alone should explain the special order tag. It must have something to do with being an export car or embassy car IDK but 1974 aluminum panel technology doesnt equal armored car.

According to the import manifest the car was bought in Dallas Texas

I've owned "Special Order" and "Special Handling" tagged cars before. The earliest once I remember was a 1976 Plymouth Fury four-door sedan, which had "Special Handling" and "Pilot Car", as this had a VIN of 100006, the sixth car off the line. It was...guess...a green car with green vinyl interior.
