Posted already in a previous thread.. but good looking out. I’d like to see the VIN tag, just to verify. How many of those have ya seen??

I'm actually surprised it has power windows.

I like this one.. the rarity is intriguing. Those door panels thought!? Are they OE? No way, right?

No worries about this one loosing its drivetrain to an E-body...

Can’t imagine why someone would want a 6 in a 300. MPG has got to be about the same in such a heavy car and with AC. Maybe the savings on two spark plugs at each tune-up was worth it?

Maybe the insurance was cheaper? Some father promised his 18 year son a 300 vert for doing well in school?
Back in those days there were some who thought a 6 was much more dependable than an 8. But it seems like they were buying valiants as well.

It is a Newport but still. Maybe the person who ordered was old school.

I find it very hard to believe that this is nothing but a Newport vert that somebody first tried to make into a 300 clone (clown), then used it as an engine donor; after which someone else saved the rolling shell, dropped a slant six into it and made up an incredible story of a ”special order car”, and finally someone third, who is not very well informed, buys both the car and the story and now desperately tries to resell them.

Still need a pic of the tag, or at least the engine compartment. VIN claims to be special order slant, but no pic and it doesn't exist.

I think when we see the fendertag the C for the sl6 is a G .......for 383-2bbl.

There is no reference to a 6cyl in a 69 Chrysler of any kind in the data book, parts catalog or FSM.
Base engine was a 383 2bbl.
