I still think the car could be a good deal at $2500.
That's based on the pictures... But the under hood shot doesn't look bad, although there looks like a color change. The seller has bad feedback, so that's going to hurt any credibility he has.
I'll bet if you showed up on his doorstep right about the time the auction was ending and if the car looks as good as the pics, tossed $2000 cash on the hood you might buy the car. Have $500 in another pocket just in case... Any more and then it's time to leave a number for "if you change your mind".
