How tight should the spindle nut be? I have never messed with the front brakes before,Thanks!

You crank down as tight as possible to seat the bearings, then back off aprox 1-½ turns or until you can spin it by hand.

Like commando1 I do it by feel, I tighten it down to seat the bearings, back it off, tighten by hand and snug down the nut and line up cotter pin. I only put a little preload on the bearings. But if you do some digging I believe there is a inch pound preload spec if you really want to be correct.
