Hey guys, I’m hoping I can get some help here. I have a set of SRT suede seats that I’m trying to put in my 68 Chrysler Newport the issue is is it’s factory bench so it has that recess on both sides and then the four comes up has anyone had any luck fitting these types of seats and what brackets do you use to make up the slack and get them to fit right?

I just put 2020 Challenger seats in my 69 Newport. The seats are more narrow than the original buckets. We didn't change a thing on the seat brackets. Just used existing holes for one side then drill new holes for the other, hooked up the power and done. Will need some tweaks when I start driving her in the spring but so far incredibly easy.
Good luck with yours.

On the 68 there’s down ward recess on each side by the door so when you put them in the sit crooked. I tried leveling it out with 5/8 strut lock and it fixed the seat but now they sit a bit to hi for where I want them. I’m 6,4.

I’m trying to figure out how I can lower the seats on the side by the trans tunnel to even them out. Can’t figure it out.

What did you do for seat belts?
