I have tilt, tele steering wheel. Car runs and steers fine but wheel position is my question.
Wheel looks like it's closer to dash on left side than on on right. I'm thinking it's because dash pash is rounded but seems really odd the way it looks. All components seem to be in perfect align down to steering gear. Wheel appears to be 3" from dash on left and 5" on right. Anyone know if this is normal on 69 300?

Can you lay a board across the steering wheel that sticks out both side windows, then measure from the board to the front of each window? If the measurement is the same this could indicate that it's just an optical illusion caused by the shape of the dash. Also, maybe the position of the dash isn't exactly correct? The dash on my '68 is kind of v-shaped so the steering wheel would be closer to it in the center of the car then at the side. Never really gave it much thought.

The steering column in a 69 C-Body in not inline with the center of the car, the left side of the steering wheel is closer to the dash than the right.
It may be hard to see in this picture but the steering gear points to the side.

That's exactly what mine does. Just kind of odd once I noticed it .

I noticed that on my Imperial, it is something I try to push way back in my brain. I was thinking of trying to straighten with some readjustments. But seeing the steering box in photo has me thinking other wise.
