I'm dropping a dual turbo 5 stage juiced 6.1 with a 6 speed Tremec into the Newport next weekend....

Looking good, love seeing pic's, Love the 6.1 hemi in it, why didn't you go with a overdrive trans? was it going to be more of a headache? at the beginning of the thread you said disc brakes what did you end up using?

I went 727 because I could get my buddy to build a rock-solid tranny for dirt cheap & also because I knew that a bunch of guys had bolted them up to 6.1's with very good results. The issue right now is getting the kick-down to work. With the 2.65 gear or whatever, 3 speed tranny will be fine anyway.

The brakes are ECI & they look great. Nice clean bolt on.

motor sounds really good. the 6.1 is a really good motor.

Ross, does the speedo take the stock cable drive or is it electronic?

The speedo is GPS so no cable. The other gauge has the four important vitals.
