Are those systems really that bad and can't they just be replaced by the lower line setup or is this a pride thing with 100 correct even if it doesn't work its in there

Ahhh yes!

All of it has to be replaced to convert to the manual system.

Yep. This was last summers project. Nothing worked and it's a manual system. That's what happens when a car sat outside in Pennsylvania for 30 years without starting, running or moving. It only had 41,000 miles on it when I got it. I hve 55,000 miles on her now. I finally got everything working including the A/C. I get 40 degrees at the center vent.

Yeah I followed your condenser install I think I may need to remove some feon in my Challenger cause I get down to around 60.

I have ATC II in the car and a soup to nuts manual A/C system on the shelf on standby for when that dreaded time comes...

Since that pic was taken, I have reconditioned the controls so they look nice and fresh.
All dressed up and nowhere to go...........
