It's a sunny 50 degree Sunday morning. I'm going to pull the cover off the Ny'er and go for a back roads country cruise. I hope everyone can have an enjoyable day too!!!

:eek:ccasion14:

Working on a sick puppy........ cars are still hunkered down. Probably a Pinochle game in the near future though... It'll be a good day, put the windows down and the heater on, enjoy the sun.

Freeking cold here in Detroit, snowy, salty. Supposed to get a storm on Tuesday, prospects are poor for cruising anytime soon. Enjoy Bob!

No offense, Matt, but if I lived there..........

YO Stan. Where else you gonna find "hold your breath entertainment" every nite on the news. Seems they always start it out with: FLASH...BREAKING NEWS ALERT! Rite now we're waiting on pins 'n neddles to see if the X-Mayor has beat the system

I'm shocked at what became of the nice Florida Boy who was selling his orange soda back in the day. :)

That's too cryptic for me to understand...
Don't try to sound like sB.
It doesn't work well for you.

I hear ya Matt, I have parts to install but won't be able to do it until the weather warms up and I can have the garage to myself....winter sucks!!

My car is sitting in the shop with my third coat of primer applied, so the weather isn't effecting me until I need to get it to the upholstery shop.

Dave, I hope the puppy is doing ok.

The ride was sort of enjoyable........I got to road test the NY'er since replacing the water pump, thermostat and housing and the heater hoses Thursday night. Everything good to go as far as the cooling system is concerned. I had a near disaster though......I was driving about 50mph on a 4 lane divivded highway and had the right rear tire go down and off the rim in a distance of a about 500'. No damage to the car, I put the spare on and drove her home.

It was on the rim in 10 seconds. Tire was destroyed, couldn't tell what happened. Luckily it didn't trash the fender skirt. I was lucky.

Glad to hear that all you lost was a tire. Agree with Dave to take a good look at the debris to see if you can determine the cause. Otherwise you may be unsure about the remaining tires. This morning the roads were still damp and this afternoon when the roads dried I was painting at my daughters place. :sad2: Hope for better luck next weekend.
