Hi guys,

I want to install a front swaybar in my Fury III but I dont have the mounting brackets on the frame for it....

does anyone know where I could maybe purchase aftermarket brackets to weld on the frame or would I need to fab some? Does anyone have measurements on where to weld the Brackets on?

Thank you!

I bought mine from PST they advertise on our site they were not in the catalog or online but they have them for our C bodies. Very good quality very happy with mine would recommend good price too. Very easy installation also no welding required

By the way this is a complete kit with an oversized sway bar. I replaced my factory sway bar because I couldn't find the bushings anymore.

Thanks! I plan on getting the PST one too. Do you have pics on how it is installed? I am talking about the brackets on the frame where the links are connected... they are misding on mine...

Hope this helps

My 66 Fury had no brackets I called PST and they didn't offer any about 3 years ago when I did mine. So I found some pics of the original brackets and fabbed some out of a piece of sqaure tubing that I cut 45 degrees from corner to corner(if that makes sense) and welded it to the frame looks just like stock. I can't get pics right now but can in the near future if you need them.

Yeah.. and those are missing on mine! Sway detail1.jpg I found some universal ones from Hotchkiss but.. 40 bucks for some Metal with a hole in it... idk...

Unfortunately I dont have the space or tools to fabricate them :(. Welding them on would be ok tho.

Check with Firmfeel. I bought their swaybar but I had a factory one. I think I remember they saying they had the brackets if you didnt have them. I like the firmfeel as it comes with the other brackets that you drill into the lower control arms. I think makes it handle much better then connecting to the radial rods or what ever those are called.

No matter what you decide to do, I couldn't be happier with how my front suspension turned out. It far exceeded my expectations, dare I say my 300 carves the corners now. I feel the sway bar is a big part of this handling.

These brackets and sway bar came from firmfeel but the sway bar isnt mounted yet. I just placed the bar where it would attach to the lca to find the location for the brackets.

1Fury1, which brand are the upper tubular control arms?

Sorry for the late response I seem to only get here a couple times a week. The tubular upper control arms are also Firm Feel, as are the tie rods, idler arm, torsion bars, shocks, rear leaf springs

Yes but they are from the factory.

The biggest one from the factory is the body panel spacing, trying to get the gaps and grooves all aligned evenly. I swear they cut these things out by hand in those days. One door on Monday and the other one on Friday.
