Thank you for the link and the tag. I see an H52 code for dual A/C. I have only seen this option mentioned in a couple of threads -- I wonder how rare it was in practice (H51 and H53 I know, H54 is much rarer, and I wonder about H52).

Found some 72's On the RM Sotheby's website...Kinda weird formatting, some have VINs and some don't....
This New Yorker sold for $3,300 (bruh) in Sept. of 2015
CL23M2C174720 was up for auction in Sept. of 2011 but I guess it didn't sell..
There was this Three-row T&C in October of 2007 AND IT SOLD FOR $550..

Thank you for posting about CP45T2C261926. This GF3 really looks good with the woodgrain paneling and the correct road wheels! (Edit: period-correct, see the post below).

I agree, as that wagon does look great with the correct for 1972 road wheels and center caps.
Technically, however, I don't believe road wheels were a factory option on the wagons as the factory specified a wider wheel than the road wheels. The C body wagons tended to have a fair amount of "tail wag" and the wider wheels were specified to help counter that due to all the weight in the back plus a relatively short wheelbase and large rear overhang.

The story for Ayilar : I was looking for an early seventies chevy suburban to tow my airstream, and since the majority of suburbans locally have been upgraded more then i like, I looked on craigslist, found one, messaged the seller, and told him I live in Europe, and was very interested in the sub.. He marked my question as inappropriate and had my IP banned from craigslist.. So i looked on eBay.. and got distracted by the little nose of this lovely wagon in Illinois that i was not looking for.. so distracted in fact that i made a bid .. and won the auction..Details i forgot to ask before i made my bid and were not listed: if it was running , if it had any drivetrain at all , any brakes ? if there was an interior at all..
Since I won, I had it shipped over to here, and to my surprise it was running , someone actually serviced brakes, the interior was not to bad.. it has stickers from "the American station wagon association"
After i made the arrangements to have it shipped over.. i looked up details on the internet..
i found a review .. it stated "it looks like a hippo on a skateboard", that is stuck now, my wife always refers to her as "the Hippo" (or depending on her mood, "the batteschip".
it was also marked that it doesn't like corners (that's an understatement)
and has endless power.. it does, keeps up with the BMW's and Golf's with ease ..
saforwardlook mentioned "tail wag".. its there, i checked ..(its probably been there since the seventies)
i have been driving it for 2 years as a daily driver, but stopped doing that when the rust bugs started to eat the driverside rear quarter .. (i am looking for a replacement for that, it does not seem to be a body part that one can buy as a part) since then she has been stored inside from november to march.
a p/o made a mess of cleaning the driverside rear door , the woodgrain is more or less missing
Changes since i bought it : Modified a late model jeep class 5 hitch to fit, made it run on LPG, changed the radiator (twice), changed the voltage regulator (5! times), new starter motor, new brake booster ...bought new green carpet from ebay , but have not had time to install.
My wish list : replace the turn signal lever with cruise option (this one feels like the top part will fall off if you don't operate it with silk gloves) and i hope the cruisecontrol will work after that.
The seems of the seats are giving up.. i will have to do something about that.
i have added a few pictures of the 2016 ebay listing

oh i forgot to mention.. it does tow.. But i was used to tow with a recent chevy suburban, forgetting there is a trailer .. towing with this T&C is hard work, no way you can forget you are towing .. it will try to kill you if you loose your concentration for a second
@Axel -- great story. The rust issues you have encountered are common -- you may want to reach out to @saforwardlook, @71Polara383, @70 Sport Suburban or @BLIMP for suggestions.

Is CS43T2C294604 in your dataset? that NYB 4dr hardtop is a rare example of a black/gold/gold 1972 NYB. @Tobias74 found the car in Alberta; it has since moved to Europe and is currently for sale in Germany. The photos below, courtesy of @Tobias74, predate a repaint of this unique car by its current owner. Its full story is in this thread.

I dunno if you guys are familiar with the app Vinwiki, it's essentially what you're trying to do here, make a registry of cars from their VINs and write about their stories.

I'm not a fan of tracking all the things all the time.
I'm pretty vested in property rights. They are the foundation of us even owning these things and even ourselves. The vin is for the owner and only at the owners will should it be taken down as another persons data. Just a thought when car spotting.

Not quite. The idea, when I started this thread, was that FCBOers could gather in this one place information that (i) they own or (ii) is publicly available, that would be relevant/useful to all 1972 Chrysler owners. This includes historical records, details about trim, repair tips, as well as publicly available information about sales and auction results--and, of course, photos! SO it is not only an (informal) registry of cars, it is meant as a one-stop thread for details specific to the 1972 Chrysler models.
I think that we are on the same page. As you know, I don't post information or photos of other people or their cars (including their fender tags) without either (a) finding that material in public sources (e.g., through a Google search) or, (b) if the info is either copyrighted or has never been posted publicly, by asking them first and getting their permission.
When I started this thread, I was not aware that member @fjrdoc owns a beautiful HY2 Sunfire Yellow NYer sedan. My bad!
In one of his posts, he explained how to restore the trunk lock cover medallion (P/N 3586918 ). The before and after pics that he posted here can be compared with a NOS piece that I recently acquired from @marty mopar.

Here is the NOS that I just bought from @marty mopar -- notice that the color travels between gold and copper, something that @fjrdoc captured in his restoration:
Now look at the picture posted by @marty mopar of the trunk lock cover / medallion for a 1973 NYer or NYB (part number 3695502 that I also bought from him today). To my eyes, it looks similar in all respects to the 1972 lock cover except that the background color is red as opposed to gold:

@SGVert just posted a photo, the build sheet, and the window sticker of CH41T2C258616 -- a NYer sedan that he bought in 2003 and later sold to @furious70. Needless to say, Buttercup and I like the V1Y gold vinyl top combined with GY4 Honeydew paint and V7X pinstripes.

A mint(well kinda) Town and Country popped up on FB today in Orlando, Florida for $13,000.
