THE RESURRECTION OF SCORCH

Ive know of you a long time. I never seem to consider your age into anything .....75 huh ?
Well technically only 74 until June 19th. In Alberta that means my driver's licence dies on my birthday and I need a medical to show I'm still kicking to get my licence renewed. I don't need a road test yet, maybe when I reach 80 or 90. I plan on using the Fury for that go around. :D

When you're too "seasoned" to be allowed to drive there, you can always come to FL... Licensing and insurance are apparently optional here.

Unfortunately that won't happen for awhile, my roof hydraulics blew out about a week ago. I was at the A&W show'n shine and it decided to down pour and the roof decided to stay down and I got to drive home in the rain. Got really wet!
I let it dry in the garage for a couple days and then pulled the rear seat bench and the back rest. Discovered a small lake of oil. Dumped in a bunch of kitty litter and left it a couple days to suck up all the oil which I have now vacuumed out. That floor will never rust! :realcrazy:

I guess my next step is wipe everything, put some oil in the pump and run it to see where it's leaking. This will take awhile. my 75 year old back doesn't bend much anymore. Maybe I should just pick a nice day and run down to Idaho and let Paul do some more magic!
:steering:

All this drama aside I would have loved to join the red parade!!

Sorry to hear about the Fury Bill! Hopefully it is something simple. The more Red cars the merrier!

Dear Sir,

That is a very nice car. I had never seen this thread before. Did you ever show the previous owner? It would appear he liked the car as well and might enjoy seeing it again.

Thanks,

Carmine

Carmine no need to be so formal lol....

I bought the car from the second owner who bought it in 1973 as a 8000 mile used car. I haven't sent him an update yet as he doesn't go near a computer. He lives about 3 hours North of me so once she is ready for long trip maybe we will stop by. There is a lot of rust to deal with in the lower quarters but priority is getting the mech done so it can at least travel locally

Oh... I guess since he bought a truck from you I assumed he was local. Your dealer should try to get him back in town with a free oil change and save you a couple tanks of gas.

I believe those "rules" are also followed by a number of our "immigrant" drivers as well. Some buy all the required paper ID's so they are good to go as soon as their plane lands. The airport car rental guys have some great stories to tell. :(

I hope so, but if I've learned nothing else, I've discovered Murphy always knows when is the worst and most inconvenient time for things to break. This current problem started with a Murphy stealth attack when I dropped the top to go visit Tobias a couple weeks ago. The weather was great so I left the top down and unknowingly drove into Murphy's big reveal at the A&W Show'n Shine. When the rain started to pour and I pushed the top button, I swear the rumbling I heard wasn't thunder, it was Murphy rolling on the floor laughing his *** off!!

Thanks Tobias, you can come over anytime for a beer. As I get further down this rat hole I may very well have to cry out for help! :BangHead:
Sounds good Bill, I try to come over in the next few days after I get my Imperial back.
