I was just guessing, back to the basics, Mopar 101.

That would be September 23, 1969. Hmmm, pre planning would have to go into the insignia, decals and sales literiture many months before hand. Would they have risked all of that with the chance that the sale date could be delayed? Unless of course that was the industry standard for releasing new models, but I think that might be stretching a bit.

Well I'd love to come across a Fusie with manual in good condition and certainly others felt the same at the time.

FOUND a 3 speed fusie... maybe?

I was told this one has been here on the site before supposedly very rusty, although the ad says otherwise (and owners never fib!). Well if its been here before at least this confirms the 3 speed manual sport fury DOes exist out there somewhere...

The ad is 5+ months old and came from "autozin.com" which seems to be one of those conglomerate ad sites that appears to gather classifieds from around the country and list them all in one place:

- and it a fast back too, not a formal! uhh... dog not included I'm guessing, -unless he's the anti theft device...

This car was for sale for a very long time in Montana and finally sold last year, the new owner is working on a restoration of it from what we last heard. It has been very quiet. And yes, this ad is from that time when it was originally for sale.

Naw man, you are right in there. It's either Sport/23 or Special/23 or September/23.

At any rate doesn't anyone see a little irony in the sale date of this new model being Sept/23?

Also there are at least 3 unusual aspects to the promo GT in the photo. Can you identify them?

it is the brown early Promo car.

It has a different hood emblem compared to production models
(Plymouth is just one emblem instead of spelt in single letters)

The strobe stripe isn't saying "GT" on the front fender

The colour sheme on the grill isn't black enough

Carsten,

I think the Press Release car is TX9 with a red stripe.

The other "brown" Promotional car has GT on the end of the stripe, a different steering wheel and an unusual reflector under the license plate frame. The Press Release car does not have these features.

On the Press Release car, the "strobe" stripe continues to the end of the fender cap. The stripe also doesn't appear to "strobe", it appears solid. Also, no "GT" on striping.

There are no 440 or 440+6 decal/emblems on hood. Also, a non-light package car.
