Yes I'm getting there. I had to patch up the headlight wiring last night.
Still need to assemble part of the interior but it shouldn't take long now.

It's almost ready for a spin!

I lowered the top last night to remind me of how great it looks with the top down.

I still have to repaint the underside of the hood. it is still in the old POR 15 look..

Well today was the day! I drove the car to work less the hood

So what if it was only 1/2 mile to work! I still drove it. LOL!!

Oh & I almost forgot to put the plates back on..

That is awesome! Car looks really good with 500s on it. Well,.how did it run?! So, if you drove it only a 1/2 mile,.. that means a 1/4 mile of matting it and the other slowing her down!...LOL. All kidding aside,.it looks great man. Nice job!!

.well in reality I immediately tested the brakes.
Stopped decently.
Feeling a bit spongy but they are new and will take time to bed in
The engine is running really nice compared to the original.
The transmission shifted good as well

I still need to refinish the hood so I have left it off
Has that look to it now.

You may want to hit one of your local salvage yards and look for a late 80's Buick LeSabre or Old Delta 88. They used a forward tilting hood mechanism around 1987 or 1988 . Maybe you can adapt something from it.I know there are also aftermarket kits on the internet,so just do a search. Nice to see her rolling again!

I say now is the time to take a Sawzall to the hood for a 6-71 blower.
I wouldn't even hook it up. Just use it for an air intake. LMAO

a bit of bad news.. I have a bent rim..

So I think I have a line on a pr. of Magnum 500's..

It was bent when I got the car.
I had a strange wobble in the front end but I had hoped it was from the worn frt end suspension.
After the rebuild I still had it so when I had the alignment done I had them check n sure enough it has a bent rim.

Moved it to the back and now I have a wobbly rear end!!
